Peter Munro: Peter is widely regarded in the minerals industry for his breadth and depth of technical and commercial skills. In over 30 years working for MIM in roles in production, research, technology and management he was pivotal in the development and application of improved techniques for treating complex orebodies and oversaw the test work, process design, commissioning and performance of several major operations. In 2000 he formed Mineralurgy Pty Ltd providing specialist processing consultancy to the minerals industry. Peter is renowned for identifying and communicating the big picture and the core drivers of operations. His work for clients includes plant turnarounds, feasibility studies, resource development strategies, as well as expert review for acquisitions, banks, and insurance claims. MORE …
Joe Pease: Joe has 35 years' experience in the minerals industry in operations management and technology development and commercialisation. He combines deep analytical skills in minerals processing with an understanding of the commercial, practical, and people needs of organisations. He helps people find and focus on the root drivers of performance. Jorma Tuppurainen: Over a 40-year career in the mineral processing and extractive metallurgy industries Jorma has developed smelting processes from pilot scale to full scale operations. He provides technical expertise for flow sheet review and development and operations evaluation, particularly in high temperature processes. He is a specialist in applying process control to first stabilise and then optimise operating plants. Together with deep analytical skills and exceptional knowledge of extractive metallurgy processes, he helps clients understand the fundamental drivers of performance and to implement practical solutions. Katie Barns: Katie's 20 years' experience in the minerals industry has been in a range of roles from plant design, commissioning, startup and optimisation. She has led teams in mineral processing technology research and development, commercialisation, marketing and implementation. Katie’s expertise is in understanding complex orebodies and the drivers to process these orebodies efficiently while helping operations understand and focus on these drivers. Diana Drinkwater: Diana is a metallurgical engineer and professional educator with broad technical and operating experience. She has worked in mining operational roles as well as in the engineering and research sectors, and she brings this solid foundation in practical minerals engineering to her education and technology transfer activities. Diana has a particular interest in developing and delivering programs to transfer new technology and methodologies into day-to-day resource project operations. She is on the board of AusIMM and the IMPC council, and has worked and taught in Australia, Latin America, China, Africa countries, Europe, Canada and the United States. MORE …
NW (Bill) Johnson: In a career of over 45 years Bill has been internationally recognised for his outstanding contributions to the treatment of complex ores. Bill's application of size-by-size mineral particle behaviour and liberation data has driven improvements in all phases of mineral processing and culminated in the development of the IsaMill technology and contributed to the Jameson Cell. He has managed company research departments and headed the University of Queensland Division of Mining and Minerals Process Engineering. Rodolfo Espinosa-Gomez: Rodolfo has 40 years' experience in the minerals industry in academic, technical and production roles, including Group Metallurgist with Penoles/Fresnillo and Principal Development Metallurgist with Newcrest. He has very strong technical and analytical skills, is fluent in both Spanish and English, and is expert in the development and optimization of operations in precious metals (including refractory gold) and complex base metals.
